In this article I’m going to list the most popular anabolic steroids which are used by millions of people today. I will place each steroid into a bulking or cutting category, so you know what sort of compound they are.
I.e. if they’re for building muscle and putting on size; or getting lean and shredded.
Obviously some steroids can do both, so if they’re muscle-building effects outweigh the fat burning effects, they’ll be placed in the bulking category and vice versa.

Dianabol is one of the most popular bulking steroids due to the amazing gains you’ll get when cycling this powerful steroid; without too much in the way of side effects. Anadrol has can produce similar gains to dianabol but it is less popular because a number of people report it to be a harsh steroid, producing several side effects.
However, those who do get on well with anadrol…practically worship it.
Testosterone is similar to dianabol in the sense that you’ll build huge amounts of muscle – without suffering from too many adverse effects. Testosterone is also effective in oral form like dianabol, making it convenient to take and a very popular anabolic steroid.
Testosterone is slightly inferior to dianabol in terms of muscle growth, but it does have fat burning properties thus it can be used when cutting also. Test is also used by beginners all around the world, because it’s side effects are usually very manageable.
Deca durabolin is an interesting steroid, because it causes incredible muscle fullness and roundness like no other compound; giving you immensely thick muscles.
No other steroid produces such pumped and 3D muscles like deca. So if your goal is to look as huge as possible throw deca in your stack…it will also help you build a significant amount of lean muscle.
Trenbolone can be used for cutting and bulking. However, it’s anabolic nature is more powerful than it’s ability as a fat burner; so it falls in the bulking category. It’s up there with testosterone for strength and size gains, but it’s known to be a harsh anabolic (more so than test).
So not recommended for beginners, but tren can take your gains to the next level if you’ve already run a few cycles.
Human growth hormone is a compound (not a steroid) that’s been used recently, helping bodybuilders pack on size…everywhere. When you take HGH every tissue grows. So not only will your muscles grow, but so too your nose and even your skull. Unfortunately bodybuilders often combine HGH with insulin when bulking which can result in adding more size, but at the cost of developing a ‘steroid gut’.
This is the look that today’s bodybuilders are being slated for because it’s this duo of drugs that are causing bodybuilders to walk around with 40″ waists.
…And when you’re 5 ft 9 at 3% body fat, that’s a pretty huge waist.

- Clenbuterol (a PED)
If you’re frustrated because your muscles lack definition or you’re belly’s too big; cutting steroids can help.
They will elevate your basil metabolic rate (a fancy word for metabolism), meaning you’ll find it easier to burn fat at rest.
…Yes, you’ll burn fat even when you’re sleeping.
If you’re going to rate cutting steroids purely on their ability to burn fat, clenbuterol would probably come first. Anavar and winstrol are also awesome at burning fat, but they have more to offer than just trimming your waistline.
Anavar is actually an effective steroid for enhancing your strength.
…Which is pretty impressive, seeing as most anavar-users will be on reduced calories when cycling this steroid. And losing strength on big lifts is one of the main worries for a bodybuilder when eating less food.
With winstrol, you’ll not only burn fat, but build a decent amount of muscle too. Don’t expect to gain 40lbs of muscle like you might with dianabol on a bulk…but you will build a noticeable amount of muscle on winny, making it one of the most versatile steroids on the planet.
In bodybuilding, building muscle whilst cutting is often deemed impossible, but with winny it can become a reality.
