Dianabol is one of the most powerful steroids a bodybuilder can take when bulking.
If you’ve never taken dianabol before…you won’t quite fathom how much muscle/strength you will gain.
In short, no other steroid comes close to dianabol when in terms of packing on size fast (with the exception of anadrol).
If you’re a beginner it’s generally recommended to take testosterone or dianabol (as tablets) during your first cycle…if your goal is to build muscle. This is because both of these compounds aren’t overly harsh on your body, whereas other substances such as anadrol and trenbolone can be.
Typical Dianabol Results
In terms of gains; the weight you’ll gain from dianabol will be made up of muscle and water.
The water you’ll gain on dianabol isn’t anything extreme, so don’t worry you won’t slowly start transforming into a hippo…that’s unless you overdose or take stupidly long cycles.
Water retention is often seen as a negative because it can cause bloating and for your muscles to look ‘smooth’. However, assuming you stick to modest doses, the water retention from dianabol is mainly intracellular (inside the muscles). As a result you’ll look fuller than usual and your strength will go through the roof.
In terms of gains; everybody is different. However here’s a rough guide:
- 4 week dbol cycle = 20lbs
- 8 week dbol cycle = 35lbs
You’ll most likely lose 5-10lbs of water weight after your cycle. How much muscle you’ll keep will heavily depend on your PCT protocol. However, if you use D-Bal (a legal alternative to dianabol) a PCT isn’t needed.
So during your first cycle of dianabol you’ll gain approx 30lbs of lean mass, that will stay with you after your cycle has finished.
Aka permanent muscle.
So now you know how much weight you can expect to gain from a cycle of dianabol.
…But how much bigger will you look in the mirror?
Well, if we examine well-known dianabol users such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, we can get a good idea of what you can expect to look like after several cycles of dbol.
Dianabol Results (Before/After Pictures)
Arnold’s body fat percentage is pretty much the same in both of these pictures, making it an accurate depiction of the amount of lean mass gained.
Arnold looks to have gained a good 50-60lbs of lean muscle, which is pretty standard for someone who takes regular steroid cycles over several years.
Note: Arnold also was thought to be taking deca durabolin and primobolan during this transformation.
Although Arnold looks humongous in the after photo, he still was a beast before he even touched a steroid.
…So, unless you can get as jacked as Arnold in the before photo NATURALLY, don’t expect to be as big as him in the after picture just from taking steroids.
Dianabol has the power to make:
A skinny guy get pretty muscly.
A muscly guy get jacked
And a jacked guy get HUGE.
So unless you’ve built a solid base before you start taking steroids, you won’t look like Arnold just from taking a few cycles. Dianabol (steroids) are only part of the equation when it comes to sculpting a great body. Hard work and genetics are also important factors in determining body composition…long before drugs even come into play.
How to Maximize Gains on Dianabol
The best way to make the most of your dianabol-cycles is to stack it with other bulking steroids. As previously mentioned, Arnold was also thought to be taking deca durabolin to add even more size and thickness to his muscles.
Other bulking compounds you can stack with dianabol include:
Testosterone sustanon is the most effective form of testosterone and is a staple compound for many steroid-users due to its powerful nature when it comes to building muscle.
Trenbolone is an extremely powerful steroid and can help you build a tonne of muscle when used with dianabol. The only downside with tren is that it’s harsh on the body – so some guys can experience some bad side effects.
Anadrol is probably the only steroid that can match dianabol in both strength and size departments. However, the majority of pro bodybuilders will agree that dianabol is the better steroid because its side effects are more mild, in comparison to anadrol.
…Plus from an aesthetic point of view – d-bol causes less water retention than a-drol.
